"ILIOS" means sun – and that's exactly what we want to pack into every jar, every bottle, and every package that leaves our premises. Because ILIOS is not just a shop, it's a feeling. Niko is not just an olive farmer – he is a trained olive oil taster with certified sensory expertise. What does that mean? He can tell you more with a drop of oil than some sommeliers can with a glass of wine.
With a trained palate, decades of experience, and deep respect for nature, he selects only the best olives – single-varietal, gently harvested, and processed immediately. Because this is the only way to produce true, extra virgin olive oil with maximum polyphenol content, flavor, and character.
He is the guardian of quality at ILIOS – and a walking encyclopedia when it comes to varieties, harvest times, and aroma profiles. His demand: Only what he puts on his own table goes into the bottle.
💛 Ute – The one with olive oil in her heart (and an overview in her head)
I am an author, connoisseur, creative soul – and the one who keeps an overview behind the scenes. In my book "Lebenselixier Olivenöl – gesund, fit und vital" (Elixir of Life Olive Oil – Healthy, Fit and Vital), I show how powerful real olive oil is for body, mind, and cooking. And in "My Big Greek Cook Book," I take our readers on a culinary journey through Greece – spiced with family recipes, a pinch of humor, and a handful of mythology.
Besides writing, I am responsible for everything that goes on in the background: from transport to packaging to customer service, from purchasing to warehouse logistics – I pull the strings to make sure everything runs smoothly. (And yes, sometimes with olive oil on my fingers.)

In addition to olive oil and Greek zest for life, my heart also beats for quiet, mindful moments. With Sharana – conscious living, I have fulfilled a long-held dream: to create a place where one can pause, breathe deeply, and connect with oneself.
Here, my love for natural scents, incense traditions, and spiritual craftsmanship come together – all carefully selected, curated with heart, and often personally tested (even if that means I sometimes rush through the warehouse smelling like a Greek temple).
For me, Sharana is like a gentle counterbalance to busy everyday life – a space for rituals, joy of life, and a little bit of magic in daily life. ✨
